I just have fulfilled a more-than-a-year-long dream. Jim Timpe was
nice enough to sell me two of his Zuiko lenses, a 40/2 and a 24/2.8.
They are both jewel-like, tiny and tasty. I brought the 40/2 on my
OM-1md with me to work today, 'cause I couldn't bear to be without
it. It's like my son bringing his toys to the dinner table! (I am NOT
a Zuikoholic....;-))
Jim loaned me a 40/2 for my trip to Australia year ago May, and I've
lusted after one since then. The 24/2.8 gives me a WA focal length in
a smaller than the 24 Shift package. Sweet! For some reason having
these two lenses now almost gets me to the point of being able to let
go of my Leica MP and lenses....
The sun may even come out long enough for me to take a few snaps. OH
WAIT--there it is! (On the 24th straight day of rain in Seattle....)
Gotta go...
