The Vivitar S1 T-mount adapters I have so far are basically a solid lump of
metal with a bayonet release. There doesn't appear to be any means to align
the lens to the camera orientation - the infinity focus mark may be at the
bottom of the lens etc. when mounted to the camera. Fortunately they seem to
be machined accurately enough that I've only got one lens where it isn't
good enough. I'll probably use an generic T-mount that has screws that let
me adjust the orientation. If would be nice to have a T-mount adapter that
matches the lens ;-)
Someone posted to the list a few years ago that Vivitar made two styles.
Neither seem to be very common. I found two at KEH over about 3 years. They
may not be very useful for non-vivitar lenses. I suspect the adjustable one
was made for the 450 mirror.
I think I've seen you on some of the yahoo groups which reminds me I should
post a WTB to the vivitar group. Thanks for the reminder.
