Hard to trust anyone who is so committed to a Sigma camera. In the
previous week he said his 3MP Foveon sensor camera is the equal of a
6x9 piece of film. These people seem to be the lunatic fringe on
dpreview. I have complained to TidBITS about this guy before with his
introductory articles urging newbies to seek out this dead camera
system. I was surprised that the response I got from Adam Engst was
argumentative and a little hostile. Maurer must be his friend and
they continue to use him.
His assessment of inkjet vs. dye sublimation print quality are just
the opposite of most reviews I have seen. I would really be wary of
any recommendation by this guy.
