Your area sometimes gets very wet snow too and that makes it a lot worse.
Some places in the Sierras also get very high snow falls. Their snow can
also be quite heavy sometimes. There will not be any wet snow here for a
while as the temperature will be -30F tonight and the high tomorrow will be
0F. The Canadians are sending us early presents. Most of our super-deep snow
comes from wind drifting or avalanches. We do get some lovely powder to play
in. My EBAY addiction brought me a new pair of skis today. It's not only
camera stuff but gun barrels, tents, backpacks, climbing equipment, sport
clothes. ski equipment and.......... My only saving grace is the fact that I
sell about as much in dollar value as I buy. I keep telling myself that.

That road looks like the road to the local ski area which holds the
world record for yearly snowfall. Something over 100'/30m. set just a
few years ago.
