I didn't realize the (Energizer) 357 is no longer available. I just purchased
20
of them yesterday from cheapbatteries.com. I hope they aren't
seriously old stock, although as you say they keep on the shelf very well.

Energizer removed the 357 from their current list of cells in production, and
only the "303/357" is now listed (when I last checked). The data sheet for the
303/357 shows lower capacity and sloping end of discharge curve. Likely higher
impedance at end of discharge too : All Bad news for OM's.
The Sony 357 looks good on paper, (I have no experience), but may be much
harder to find.
