I agree, having some variety in the weather is nice. I can say that
with some authority after my time in SE Asia. I arrived in Laos about
a week before the rainy season ended so for the 7 months I was there I
think it rained 2 or 3 times, the rest of the time it was sunny and
hot (35 C usually). There was a "cold season" in Dec and Jan but their
definition of "cold" is that it's "only" 25 C in the day and it dips
down to about 15 C at night.
I like having 4 seasons. The thing that gets me though is that I live
pretty near 45N lattitude which is supposed to mean that I get 4 equal
length seasons but that's definitely not the case here.
