I've had this happen several times with an OM10.
Grease migrates to the plastic take-up spool axle (which doubles as a sort of
limited-slip clutch0. When this happens the clutch has reduced grip.
Solution is to flush the grease out with meths or some such. But I have never
done it myself. Well, "flush" is probably an exaggeration, but wash or wipe
away the grease somehow.
