You're probably looking at ordinary misfocus. I know these shots were
taken with one of my OM-2s's and it was probably before I managed to
find a couple of proper dioptric correction lenses at KEH. Many were
also shot through double ND filters in order to use fill flash at wide
apertures.
There may also be some scanning and digital image handling problems here
as evidenced by a couple images with poor color balance. I'm not
particularly good at scanning and these images are some of my earliest
work on the scanner.
Also, the images of Amelia were horribly scratched both vertically and
horizontally by unbelievably bad 1 hour processing. 1-08 in particular
had to be extensively reworked with the clone tool.
Amelia is a professional model. The shots of Nancy were for her senior
year photos.
