Yes, I'd worked that out, too. It was not the source of my confusion.
The source of my confusion was the conflicting advice: on the one hand
Don Shedrick writing "I use the Navitar 70 - 125mm f 2.8 zoom with my
Carousel and it provides stunning images" and Ralf Loi saying that the
zoom lens created distortion.
Hence my comment regarding buying both: the 90mm fixed for normal use,
and the zoom in case I need the flexibility.
