It appears, if one is to believe Canon FF pixel peepers, at least the
resolution, and probably also the nature, of the FF sensors have made
blatently obvious what has been known to some before, that Canon wide
and super wide lenses have never been really great. So they have been
beating the bushes for better alternatives. Given the adaptability of
the EOS mount, they have a lot of choices.
Actually, the pixel peepers probably put the much rarer and more
expensive Zeiss at the top of the 20-21mm list, with the Zuiko very
close. The samples they post certainly show the Canon lenses to be
significantly behind the Zeiss and Zuiko. Of course, you won't see it
except in large prints and full frame viewing on screen.
