dpreview does not comment (that I could find) on a 2/3 stop ISO error on
the A200 as they do on the A1. But I can testify as did AG that the A1
definitely has 2/3 stop greater sensitivity than indicated by the ISO
dial. You didn't say which way your exposures were going but if you're
getting overexposure with the handheld meter then try setting your meter
for 2/3 stop higher ISO than indicated on the camera, ie;
50 = 80
100 = 160
200 = 320
400 = 640
800 = 1280
Tha A2 may also have its own peculiarities and you may have to do some
testing to figure out what the error is. But, given there's a precedent
in the Minolta line I wouldn't be too quick to blame the meter.
