which answers my question very nicely. I know that I'll be doing
everything the old school manual way if I'm using PC adapters, but
that's fine -- digital is very forgiving when I get things horribly
wrong, and as what I'd like to do is play around with multiple flashes
and bounce and coloured gels and stuff, I have no expectations of
getting anything even close to right first time.
Those ebay folks have a lot of other fun cheap gadgets; more indian(I
think) optical slave triggers, suspiciously cheap sets of close-up
lenses (+10?! I'll bet that's just great quality -- but heck, could be
fun to play with)..
Thanks for all the answers! Now to go and pick up some stuff and start
playing!
