I can't comment on the reversed 21/3.5, Adam, 'cos I suspect the results are
highly dependent on the extreme macro qualities of the 20/3.5 [sounds like
you are regretting the repeated opportunities you had to buy it :-)] but
getting hold of the cine lens is easy. If you are willing to use a CCTV
lens instead - I used item MS02C 4mm CS Mount Lens at GBP12.99 in stock at
Maplin but they also have other focal lengths, and board camera lenses which
are cheaper still. I also got an 8mm lens, but it doesn't give as wide an
angle of view. The 4mm is an f/2 60deg AOV lens (equiv to about 35mm for
24x36), while the 8mm is, not surprisingly, only 30deg AOV (equiv to about
75mm for 24x36). I am tempted to try their 2.9mm, 90 deg lens ....

Really impressed! I've seen John Brackenbury's stuff but he is always
secretive about how they are achieved... must be along these lines...
Hmm, keen to have a go at this...
I suppose a reversed 21mm/3.5 and tele auto tube will do for starters for
the camera end, but where do I get a cine lens?
Will scour the bits drawer...
Glad you didn't sell that 20/3.5 now Piers? ;-)
