Simon,
Might be worth getting in touch with Michael Spencer -
http://www.btinternet.com/~camerarepairer/
He's worked on a couple of cameras for me (OM-1n & 35RC) plus several zuiko
lenses & has done an excellent job at a reasonable price.
Regards - Martyn Smoothy

Subject: [OM] Colchester Camera Repairs - 35RD still not right
The list may remember I was bemoaning the fact that my 35RD wasn't
behaving correctly and that Colchester Cameras seemed unable to fix it.
They've now had it for another 3 months and it's exactly the same. I'm
wondering if they actually did anything at all, or even opened it up.
In short, the lever still doesn't move to the right aperture position
(as selected on the dial) in manual position, but stops short, sometimes
well short.
I've written them a stroppy fax asking for my money back. I think I've
actually been extremely patient about the whole thing.
I've now also written to C&E to ask them about how I make sure I don't
get charged on the camera value when it gets sent back to the UK, with
the intension of sending a few OMs that need work (plus the RD) off to
John H. if he's willing, as that the only way I know I'll get them back
right. I have at least 2 OM-1s that need work, plus the RD and perhaps
an RC.
It seems remarkable that no-one apparently in the UK is up to the job.
Regards,
Simon
