David Stocklein works out of Sun Valley, Idaho which is about 150 miles from
here. His work is truly unique and really captures the feeling of the old
west. He has an advantage in that he has become friends with many ranchers
and is always welcome to work at their places. He does his work without
getting in their way and records their way of life in a way that pleases
them. There are so many photographers bugging ranchers now that most are not
welcome. I would like to attend one of his seminars. /jmac

Subject: [OM] David Stoecklein Seminar
I attended the David Stoecklein seminar last weekend in Dallas, Texas, and
thought I might share some of Stoecklein's comments with the list. For
those
of you unfamiliar with Stoecklein, he has produced a series of books on the
American West like the Idaho Cowboy, Montana Cowboy, and Texas Cowboy. He
also
does advertising work for Jeep, Chevrolet, Coke, and Marlboro.
