Good plan Bill. D'ye hear there fellow Brit OM fanatics?
I am off to Portugal and Spain at the end of this week. My Mother
lives near Faro with her husband (I find the concept of step-father
difficult ;-)) and we will visit Seville and Cordoba for several days
each. I have vacillated internally (my wife wants only that I do not
weigh us down with camera bags and will not enter a discussion about
which cameras or lenses) about film or digital. I have come to a
compromise which I hope will satisfy the "gear-head" in me but which
will provide me with the opportunity to take good candid, mono shots.
My kit will comprise my E-1 and 2 lenses (14-54 and Sigma 55-200), a
P*wershot S70 compact digital machine, XA with Ilford film, XA with
Provia and XA4 with one or the other. That means that I have a
camera bag with nothing inside! Or shall I put in an OM4 with 21,
35, 50, 90 and 200 in an extra bag? My tripod will be my darling
little Velbon Ultramaxi SF - small enough to fit in the hold luggage,
but large enough for standing shots.
Decisions, decisions!
