That's true, something we always here as gas prices increase. What the
commentators don't say is that in Europe, Canada and elsewhere, there is
something received for that additional amount that we pay for in other ways.
The quality of services received with tax funds is often characterized as
poor, but the same services heree can be poor as well.
Tack on a extra U$1 plus a gallon and the US oiloholic would

Really? During the last oilcrises, people went like lemmings trading off
cars for ones with better mileage, no matter the bottom line. In this time
of increasing prices, people have used the current discounts to buy newer,
bigger, less efficient gas hogs. Never was the statement about a fool and
his money more true.
The extra buck could be directed to the Big Easy to help in

Absolute political suicide. Many of us on Winsor's side of the line think
there is plenty of money and talent being misdirected and mismanaged. More
money isn't the answer, using what's there wisely is. But I'm getting way
too close to divisive politics.
