Having traveled quite a bit, I have noticed that I am held responsible
for what my government does. For example, when Belgium (together with
France & Germany) refused to step into the latest Iraq war, I got
questions about that when I visited the US. The funny thing is that,
while we think the government should represent us, in practice it's
mostly us representing our government when we travel abroad.
Peter.
