Yes... then telling customers that have already been promised one that
they are out of luck and don't be expecting them to ever make any more.
That is not what I would call good customer service or good business
sense. I will write Olympus America a letter about it and give someone
that has a better idea of what exactly is going on a chance to respond,
since I am pretty happy with the E-300 from a features and interface
point of view.

I'm really surprised to hear this.
I bought the adapter for my C*non D20 (for various reasons I decided on
that
camera), which cost me c. 150 Euros + import taxes, c. 200 Euros in all,
which is quite an amount for what is basically a piece of metal that
can't
cost much to produce, once you have the machines to make it.
If it were something complicated to produce, I could understand it, but
it
puzzles me why they would stop producing a simple product, if there is
still
demand.
