Actually, the emulators are free. So is MVS up to version 3.8J. OpenVMS can be
had as a "hobbyist" licence for about $30 or so for a year. Newer versions of
MVS are obviously very far indeed from being free. Running a Web browser under
X Windows under VMS wouldn't be a big deal, but I wouldn't like to try one on a
3270 terminal under MVS 3.8J :-)
This is getting seriously away from OM gear I think. One could take a screen
shot with an OM of course.
