I recently saw some severely scratched negs, scratched on the emulsion side.
One particular scratch had 2 "digs" evenly spaced within each frame. I
could see some light scratching on the back, caused by a piece of grit on
the pressure plate, but this was emulsion side. I suggested he try a test
roll and use a completely different lab.
