Question for all the polarized sunglass wearers:

I've noticed that I have to tilt my head sideways to get the full
polarizer effect. Maybe 45 degrees.  Is this normal? I'm using some
cheap clip on lenses from Costco so maybe it's a quality control issue.
Or is it typical to get only the moderate degree of polarization? Next
time I head over to the mainland I think I'll try a few other glasses to
check.
