I would either darken them to tone them down a bit or perhaps get rid of
them altogether.
I'm beginning to search eBay for a moderate telephoto, what is in your
experience best, 85 or 100?
It is personal taste. To answer your question, I will tell you that I have
the 85mm f2, 90mm f2, 100mm f2.8 and the 135mm f2.8 as well as the Tamron SP
90mm f2.5 and several zooms which cover this range. That being said, I would
probably grab the 85mm f2 first and the 100mm f2.8 second. I like both of
these for their size and like the slightly wider 85mm as it will allow me to
do some things which would be more difficult with the somewhat longer 100mm.
As an aside, I recently did an entire shoot with the 85mm on my e-1. It was
an effective focal length with the e-1 of 170mm at f2 and it was still the
light easy to use lens. Bill Barber
