I've paid Idaho sales tax to Olympus several times and wonder if they
actually remit it to this state. No way to tell I suppose. Since I buy
everything for resale, I don't volunteer to pay the Idaho "use" tax on
things I buy from other states. Sometimes I keep things quite a while before
the resale takes place. That path has never been tested with the tax folks.
I do charge sales tax when selling items to people in Idaho, even through
E*Bay. I say that up front in my boiler plate language but it still pisses
some people off. They are not the ones that have to defend my quarterly tax
reports. /jmac
