That's the way I've always felt. However, for reasons that I'll post
separately, I just took the SP2 plunge.
After making a full, close to 100gb image backup of my boot disk, I went
ahead and let XP do all the updates that made it ready for XP2. Then
............. I installed XP2, and several updates to it ........ and
everything works fine. I know of folks who say have had their PDs turned
into doorstops by the SP2 upgrade. Maybe they were lying. Maybe it was
just afraid of that full image backup, so it behaved itself. Lets hope
Vista isn't out for at least a couple of years.
