My new toy arrived yesterday at 4 pm after a long journey from New
Zealand. I never thought I'd enjoy it as much as I have... it's a
wonderful tool, well designed for a version one pro model. I spent
last night reading the manual, learning the many buttons and their
functions. I must admit, it was a bit overwhelming at first. Took my
first serious shot this afternoon:

Nothing earth shattering, just a simple flower shot in the front yard.
I cropped a bit to get a 4x6 format, resized and added a tad of
sharpening. No other processing was done. I believe the exposure
was 1/125 @ 5.6 @ iso 100, hand held and taken in SHQ mode. The only
problem I had was that I noticed the edge of the lens shade would
become visible in the corners at the 14mm setting. I thought "what
fool would design such a shade" until I discovered I hadn't given the
shade the final little twist to lock it in place. Dang plastic stuff.
