But we're talking a couple generations ago. Since the AE-1 their
cameras have become a commodity or more like minivans.
Number of megapixels = number of seats.
Low noise sensors = number of cupholders.
Fancy histograms = DVD player for every passenger
But it's still a minivan. Just a modern day station wagon. How
passionate can you get about a minivan? Function trumps form.
You never get the desire in a minivan of putting on the driving
gloves and taking it on a twisty mountain road doing four-wheel
slides or hanging the rear-end out going around the hairpins.
To me, the Olympus has always been more of a "sports car". An
OM-2n just has that Mazda RX-7 or Italian sports car feel to it.
It just wants to be driven with the engine RPMs wailing away.
