Surely it is not a great leap from the very British burlesque to the
broad comedy of Hyacinth and crew. As Time Goes by is the one I
really look forward to. Although I think I have seen most of the
episodes.
Have to admit my favorite show is Spooks, renamed MI-5 here because
of the racial connotation. My goodness, it is well done. Much better
than anything from Hollywood or New York, movies or television. I
missed a lot of episodes on the A&E cable channel and discovered it
late, but I am catching up with the DVDs from Netflix. Writing
Matthew McFadyen out as Tom Quinn was a big loss, but still a great
show.
