Too big and too fragile. I want to carry this lens with me when
backpacking or trekking. This huge exposed front element is really
not appropriate for this... The Zuiko 21/3.5 was such a wonderful
little lens...
Obviously, I have not yet fallen in love with my new E-1, far from
it. Big, too big! When I fold my hand around the grip, my thumb does
not touch the rear wheel, I have to move my hand slightly to reach
it. Small hand maybe...
And the lenses are big... I only have the 14-54 so far, for tele I
use my old Zuiko lenses (85/2, 100/2.8, 135/2.8, 200/4, 180/2.8).
But... no small wide angle prime... I miss the 21/3.5 and 24/2.8 -
not to mention the Tamron 17/3.5. I guess the best I can do is buy
the 11-22mm zoom, but it is as big as the 14-54, which I already find
too big... But I have not even finished paying for the E-1, so the
11-22 purchased will be delayed for 1 or 2 months.
If there was a reasonably good prime lens in the 8 to 12mm range,
even manual, even requiring an adaptor, I would probably buy. But
apart from the Peleng, I think there is none.
