The local paper did an article on fakes a few years back. Like so many laws
in the U.S. it probably isn't enforced until someone complains. I wouldn't
wear one while going through customs though.
IRRC my fake is actually non-electric but the second hand moves differently
from the real thing. Its gold tone, diamonds, and glued on date magnifier
look so fake it gives the watch real novelty class. I seldom wear it out of
fear that if it gets damp part of it might wash away. The watch itself might
be of reasonable quality. The Rolex treatment is a hoot.
