It came in an all-too-cute and sumptious purple fake-silk lined box, but the
4/3 OM adapter is now in the house. My wife is leaving tomorrow morning for
her family reunion in Texas, a place where I choose never to be between June
and October*, particularly among folks barbecuing goat instead of pig. The
weather here is predicted to be perfect for the next few days, so I have plenty
of unsupervised time to try all sorts of "unauthorized" lenses on the E-1.
I think I'll start with the Zuikos: 50/2, 90/2, 100/2, 180/2.8, then the
38/2.8, 80/4 and 135/4.5 macros on the 65-116 tube, followed by the 300/4.5 and
400/6.3, despite the fact they aren't "permitted" according to the cheat-sheet
that came in the too-fancy box. Then I'll try the 80-200/2.8 and 300/2.8
Tamrons, and maybe even the 1250/10 Celestron. I will also, when moved by my
muse, mix in the 1.4X-A and 2X-A teleconverters.
What's it going to cost me besides some wasted time and fil -- oh, that's
right. I keep forgetting about not having to worry about that pesky film and
processing thing. :-)

*Nice place from November till May, though.
