Not only do I remember "church keys," I've got one, albeit a more updated
version, one with a magnet on the back so it sticks to the side of the
refrigerator. What else would one use to, for example, open a can of condensed
milk? I'm so old and "country" I still remember the poem:
Carnation milk, best in the land;
Comes to you in a red and white can.
No teats to pull, no hay to pitch;
Just poke a hole in the son of a bitch.
Handy for making those extra holes in the top of a beer can when doing beer-can
chicken on the grill. :-)
