There are film recorders. My lab-owning friend just sold his two to a guy
that came with a truck and bought a studio full of stuff, including
enlargers, a b&w processor, and tons of other photo junk.
My friend bought the remains of several closed labs and a manufacturer, took
what he needed, sold the more valuable parts piecemeal, and turned over the
rest to some other entrepuneur. It's fun to watch things go downstream. The
scrap metal dealer has yet to arrive.
So, anyway, the film recorder is an option. Of course, you did mention
accuracy...
