If you have multiple email accounts, the wrong one could be the one that
you've used to send the unsubscribe. I've found that if I reply to a list
email, the right account is automatically selected. However if I reply to a
list email that I have deleted, my default email account is used (wrong
account). I believe once the list mum reported an instance where someone
couldn't unsubscribe because there was a blank space in the email address.
Depending on your email client looking carefully at the headers might let
you figure out where the problem is.
