John, I use polyurethane glue alot. GG is just a trade name. The stuff
has its uses but one must be careful. Despite what Walt says it is just
as good as epoxy for a lot of things and much cheaper and easier to work
with. It is messy and tends to foam which may preclude its use for
camera repairs :>) It also needs moisture in order to cure which may be
a plus or a minus. Shelf life is limited so only buy as needed. It has a
longer open time than carpenter's PVA glue which is the only reason I
would use it for woodworking. If you had a specific project in mind
perhaps i could advise.
