My Tamron 17mm and Olympus 21mm suddenly became 34 and 42mm lenses.
Yes, everything expands by 2.
The new Olympus 7-14mm is too expensive and too big, and the 11-22mm
can barely be considered a wide-angle lens.
Yes, the 7-14mm (OM eqiv. 14mm-28mm) is a bit on the large side and it is a
kick butt wide angle. Get a gym membership and build those arms, sell
something and get this lens. I also have the 11-22mm which is not getting
much use
and I wouldn't call OM equiv. 22mm barely being a wide angle. Ah, I
remember the days whenthe 24mm f2.8 on an OM was wide angke heaven for me.
Oly does not seem to have
a fixed-focal wide-angle lens planned.
I think they have something in the pipeline and expect it to be expensive.
The Oly 8mm is expensive and awkward.
Yes, and it will only give you 16mm at OM equiv.
What about the Voigtlander 12/5.6 (5.6, alas!)...?
I'm not excited about a manual focus f5.6 24mm.
Others?
How about the Zuiko Digital 11-22 or 7-14mm? You will be happy. [{8^)
