Greg, thanks for offering other helpful software for my problem.

Chuck, the Lexar software recovered quite a few files.  It's returned them 
in a somewhat unexpected form, so I'm having to rename extensions.  I'll 
report more when I've gotten through them.  In the meantime, thanks VERY much.
