Get rid of the grass, as well as the mower. Easy. lawn is only green
desert after all and consumes endless personal and environmental
resources for dubious gains. Try and reach a stage where 'gardening'
can be achieved by the use of a goat and a chainsaw - with occasional
recourse to a machete when you can't quite get out of the house easily.
It's taken me years to get to that stage, mostly because I have better
things to do than fight nature's entropy, a wife who confines her
contribution to complaining about the state of it and a son who
wouldn't be interested unless it was a computer simulation. Let it
go/grow - it will after you've gone anyway.
