If it is true, then we all have a problem, since I don't believe the 4Ti
shutter to be significantly different from that on other OM bodies (aside
electronic vs mechanical differences).
Otherwise, I can only quote the CEO of Airbus, asked yesterday about the
Boeing view of the airliner marketplace: "Eet is tertal berlsheet". Sorry
Phil, if you are listening, that is the best rendition I can offer. It was
a pleasure to hear him, reminded me of Peter Sellers as Clouseau "I am an
officer of the law, have you a room for the night".

Subject: [OM] OM-4Ti Shutter Upgrade?
Hi - a question...
A bloke I of my acquaintance is having problems with the film advance
mechanism on his 4Ti, so he contacted a camera repair shop (not one I'm
familiar with) & - I quote:
"... I called xxxxxx Photo in London this morning, and the guy there said he
wouldn't touch it unless I could prove it had had the shutter upgrade. He
said the OM4Ti had serious problems with its shutter. I can't find any
mention of anything relating to it on the internet. "
I've never heard of this general "shutter problem" with the 4Ti - so, anyone
able to shed some light on this or was the "guy" just talking bullshit? My
money is on the BS option.
Regards - Martyn
