Of course, it also depends on what color object you are trying to resolve vs
B/W. The Digi camera red or blue resolution is half of that of green. For
different reasons the film resolution varies with color too, depending on order
of emulsion layers and scattering.
If they really put in an effective anti-aliasing filter it would limit the
resolution to that of the lowest resolution color making half the green pixels
redundant. The idealised anti-alias filter should vary with wavelength but it
seems unlikely they actually achieve that.
The old lenses may actually be perfect for acting as an anti-aliasing filter in
some cases!
