I see this has already been answered, so I won't repeat the answer, save
to add that there is also:
DVD-RAM
which is what our Panasonic DVD writer uses for multiple read/writes. It
can also write to DVD-R, but only once (of course!) and the -Rs need a
"close" procedure to make them viewable, whereas the -RAM is very
flexible. I don't pretend to understand -RAM fully, but know it's
specifically designed for this sort of streaming video type thing: I
presume it hasn't got a file allocation table as such; and certainly
nothing as complicated as a "proper" DVD's FAT.
