Well, bu**er me Bob! I bet you were annoyed!
Why not leave it until tomorrow evening, in the hope that fewer people
will be online and trying to do the same thing. It's not much, but
it's all that I can suggest ...
I'm not sure that the connection makes a difference, but I have used
USB twice for updating my camera without a similar hitch.
