So now I would have to buy a Palm or Pocket PC to get DOF info? More
stuff to pay for and more stuff to carry if I were to get an E-x. Not
very attractive.
Remember when lenses came with little slips of paper with DOF tables on
them? How quaint. :-) I'm sure an extra piece of equipment will be
faster and more convenient.
Sitting here with the black tower case with 2.8ghz processor, 2gb of
memory, 3 optical drives, flatbed and film scanners, laser and inkjet
printers, card reader and tablet, blah, blah, I don't think I can be
considered technophobic. Heck, I'd even have a picture phone if the free
one they offered weren't digital only, so it wouldn't work in places
I've been in the last 6 months.
However, I still distinguish between high tech and low tech solutions
based on their actual usefulness.
So I modify my request. Anybody know what Circles of least confusion*
Oly uses to calculate DOF for the E-1 and E300? Then one may use
existing DOF calculators that run on larger platforms to do the
calculations and print them out.
