I got an email just the other day from a newbie seller saying that he'd
received advice (from a friend who traded a lot on the 'bay) to wait until
his buyers put in feedback before reciprocating. The auction ended two
weeks ago and I still haven't got my goodies. Makes me think that he knows
he's screwed up and is expecting some flak.
I believe FB should be left when each party has completed their end of the
deal. The seller leaves FB when they've received payment, and the buyer
leaves FB when they've received and inspected the goodies.
IIRC if a buyer leaves negative FB the seller has an opportunity to respond
with a comment, this means the seller should have no qualms about leaving
FB first.
As a buyer, I do not leave FB if the seller has not done so first. I
always pay fast and communicate with the seller. As a result I know I have
done the right thing and have not left myself open to negative remarks.
