Scott,
I don't use an 80 series indoors. For color negative I use Fuji Press 1600
and Fuji Press 800 which are fairly "friendly" to indoor use plus a good
lab to do the color balancing of it correctly. While it is daylight film,
it seems to have been designed to make life easier for the person making
filter pack decisions on the printer. For transparency in situations with
incandescent lamps I use Ektachrome 320T . . . if the ambient lighting is
bright enough . . . which is tungsten balanced.
If all else fails with extremely low lighting, I go with TMax P3200 at EI
3200 and have it developed Push 2, but prefer Push 1 at EI 1600 as it's a
bit more like Tri-X at rated speed.
I found looking through a deep blue filter very difficult indoors . . . for
both composition and focusing.
