We have a friend with whom we stayed in Maine last Oct. coming to visit
Monday. That got me motivated to start printing up some pics from the
trip as gifts to our hosts.
As I looked through the images, I came across one I took with the 300D
of something really too far away. It was a sort of "I wonder what this
will turn out like?" shot. So I took a look and was again amazed at the
performance of this small, light 10x+ zoom
<http://moosemystic.net/Gallery/Steeple.htm>.
I suppose I should post this on some Can*n or Tamron list, but I don't
know those folks. It's more fun sharing with friends! And of course I
know there are some lurking out there with cameras for which this lens
is available. :-) You know who you are...
I hope that it comes out for the 4/3 mount one of these days. I don't
know if the Oly zooms are better, but they sure don't have the range,
size/weight and price of the Tamron. And if they are better, I'll bet
it's not by much.
