The porroprism does use prisms but not in a pentaprism organisation. If I
remember correctly, the FT's meter sits behind a half-mirror on the far right
side of the body (which is why the FT's viewfinder is so dim). The half-mirror
should allow light from the eyepiece through, but since it's not as close or
as intense as the OM's arrangement, the effect is likely minimal. I bet
shining a light directly into the eyepiece will affect the FT's meter.
