I believe the two are interchangeable (you can use Adaptall-2 mounts on
Adaptall lenses, maybe not the other way round) and Adaptall mounts were
available for OM, but as I recall they were without a stop-down button.
----------------------------
I have the following Adaptall 24/2.5 puchased new in the late 70's
<http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/urltrurl?lp=ja_en&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tamron.co.jp%2Fdata%2Fold-lens%2Fcw24.htm>
and have since fitted it with an Adaptall II mount. Both mounts provide
DOF preview via a lever which slides around the perimeter of the mount
vs a push button on the Zuikos. The lens itself has an automatic/manual
switch which is independent of the mount. When in manual position the
lens operates in stop-down mode.
For a reason which I can't recall very well at the moment, the Adaptall
II provides improved usability. I think it makes it a bit easier to
operate the aperture ring which was, for some reason, a bit hard to grip
with the older adapter. Haven't used it for a long time as it was
displaced by the Zuiko 24/2.8 which is much more compact.
