There's a wonderful visual joke at the end of a late (in both senses)
Jacques Tati film set in a traffic jam in Paris. A 2CV brakes to a stop
and bounces for a while, as they do on those big, underdamped coil
springs on each corner. The camera cuts away and wanders for a bit,
taking in the lunacy of gridlock. Around a minute later it cuts back to
the 2CV - yeah, still bouncing!
