I can't imagine there will be another one. The only reason the 300D
could be hacked is because the developers saved a little
time/testing/money by using much of the code from the 10D and simply not
accessing parts of it through the menu. I believe the first step in the
'restoration' was accomplished by comparing the two sets of code, noting
2 bytes in one place that were different, and changing them. When that
restored some function, the project was on to find more.
All the manufacturers are aware of what happened, so it won't happen again.
